Back To The Beach

It's a fun sort of monotony: after church we had breakfast at Pannikin and then went to the Roxy contest in Solana Beach. Sydney had such a good time yesterday that Hannah wanted to check it out too. I remembered my camera today.

Face paint, and hairdoos, and watching the cute girl surfers: check, check, check (with a sharp elbow in my ribs to keep me in line).

We bought a piece of artwork at the fair that will look pretty good in the dining room, but had to kill time until 3:00 when the silent auction was over and we could actually buy it. We went window shopping in the Cedros Design District, bought some peaches at the farmer's market, ate kettle corn, and then popped back to the contest. Riveting stuff, I'm sure.

Now Sydney and her friend are downstairs planning Syd's campaign for student council.

My face is sunburned.

Sydney, on the long walk up to the contest site.

Hannah admires her facepint.

The girls and their hairdoos.

The winner of the paddle race.

The surf is once again super duper fun.

Cori Schumacher's huge cutback. The quality of the surfing was very good.

Our new painting.
