Sole Technology turned twenty this year and company founder Pierre Andre Senizergues celebrated with parties in New York, Paris, and tonight at the company's world headquarters in Lake Forest, where the Beastie Boys are playing.

We went to check out the company's GvR skate contest in the afternoon, then went to see Sofia Coppola's new movie Marie Antoinette. It was pretty decent. A sophmore slump was inevitable after Lost In Translation, which was brilliant. 10/23 Note: Barry tells me that it's actually her third movie and that I need to hire some fact checkers. Amen brother!

Anyway it was 7:00 p.m. when the movie got out, so we high-tailed it back to the Sole Technology building. What a madhouse. The will-call line is a quarter-mile long. Thankfully we're spotted by Eladio Correa, the etnies brand marketing manager, who gets us some passes. It's a total mess, but the concert was really, really fun. I didn't bring my camera, but it was too out of control to matter much anyway.

A great show though.
