Odin's Raven Magic
Yeah, as someone close to me pointed out, Jason Mraz might be slightly more to the pop side of things than what's typical for me (see last post). But, hey, I do love that song and my tastes run the gamut. Take this for instance:
Odin's Raven Magic is a 2002 orchestral setting to the Icelandic poem Hrafnagaldr Óðins. The composition was a collaboration by Sigur Rós and three other Icelandic composers I haven't heard of.
It was premiered at the Reykjavík Arts Festival on May 24th, 2002 and today it was the soundtrack to my ride to Del Mar and back. Chreck it out.
