Janet Qualifies For The World Tri Championships
This morning my sister Janet qualified for the ITU World Sprint Championships with an 8th-place finish at the USATriathlon National Sprint Championships, the sole USA qualifier. Occasional huge sets from a dying Southern Hemi swell forced organizers to turn the race into a run-bike-run duathlon, but the course was hard, with two steep ramps climbing up from the beach, a rolling PCH bike course, and lots of beach running. Needless to say, she's thrilled to be heading to Australia in September -- and I'm thrilled for her as well.
