Mountains To Desert

Sometimes it's best to scope out a potential "adventure ride" by car before dragging your friends along on some psycho death march. This ride (http://bit.ly/9rrVCd) will be great in a few weeks once the desert starts to bloom, but it was a pretty scenic drive with Hannah today too...

Top Of Palomar Mountain (5,100 feet, 47 degrees, and fresh snow on the ground)

Hannah gives a leap after beaning me with a snowball. You could hear her cackle from 100 yards away.

Looking down toward Warner Springs from Palomar's East Grade Road.

San Diego Backcountry near Warner Springs. (60 degrees)

Nearing Box Canyon.(65 degrees, 2,400 feet, and a long way from anywhere -- no traffic though.)

Ocotillo

Near Agua Caliente springs.

Anza Borrego Badlands

The long final push to Ocotillo. 74 degrees and 560 feet
