Nightglow Window

Feeling lazy today. A bit grumpy too, but there’s nothing for it – at least not today.

Mr. Floyd Landis of San Diego, California became the third American to win the tour de France today. Technically, he’ll take the podium tomorrow, but as custom dictates all the cyclists will ride down the Champs-Élysées together tomorrow. The last day of real racing is over.

Went to the gym after Floyd won, and just rode the bike. Would have gone into the great outdoors to ride had I remembered to bring my bike home from work.

Just as well, it was another hot one today. Upper 80s with 69% humidity. Red sky at morning (sailors take warning) and the clouds built throughout the day but never came to rest over our hot little street.

Should have gone to the beach.

But it’s all good. Hannah ran in the sprinklers, Sydney went to the waterpark with friends, and we grilled burgers and ate outside once it finally cooled off. Summertime stuff. Tomorrow we’ll head off to the beach and I’m not getting out of the lineup until it cools off.

Could be a long surf.
