On The Matterhorn Trail
We took the (expensive) tram up to Schwarzsee Station and then followed the six-mile Matterhorn trail down from above treeline to Zermatt.

Sydney Bean heading down to Stafel station. The great thing about hiking in Zermatt are the restaurants every few miles along the trail. Great motivation for tired young legs.
